Vascular Ultrasound
Vascular Ultrasound is a specialist form of non-invasive imaging that provides crucial information for vascular specialists. It is frequently the first step in planning what treatment is right for each patient.
The scan uses sound waves to produce images of the vessels beneath the skin. It allows the vascular sonographer and surgeons to identify lesions, problems with flow, to visualise treatments, and the results of treatment when necessary.
Ultrasound is real time and pain free. There is no radiation or xrays. The results are available almost immediately, and are reported by experts in Vascular Ultrasound.
